Unsegregated waste will not be collected: Trichy corporation

Trichy corporation said on Monday that sanitary workers will not collect unsegregated domestic waste. Residents must now sort trash into four types under the Solid Waste Management Rules, 2026. Commissioner Veer Pratap Singh said, "Keeping penalisation as the last resort, the corporation has opted to refuse collection of unsegregated waste initially."
