Out of shadows: When the mountain ghost chose to be seen in Dhauldhar Wildlife Sanctuary

A camera trap captured a rare snow leopard in Dhauladhar Wildlife Sanctuary on 21 December 2025. Deputy Conservator of Forests Reginald Royston said, "The confirmed presence of the snow leopard significantly enhances the conservation importance of the Dhauladhar Wildlife Sanctuary." This discovery highlights the rich biodiversity of the high-altitude protected area.
