MCD to empanel agencies for on-site waste processing

MCD will soon empanel agencies to manage waste for bulk generators unable to process it themselves. These agencies will collect segregated waste, process it, and issue certificates, ensuring compliance with SWM rules. This aims to reduce landfill waste and promote decentralised management for hostels, institutions, and others.
