Deluge in Tinsukia pushes administration to open 24x7 control room

Four hours of heavy rain flooded all 20 wards of Tinsukia on Thursday morning, crippling life. Knee-deep water swamped streets and homes, forcing the administration to open a 24x7 control room. Chairperson Pulak Chetia said, “Our teams are working to drain out the water from the affected localities.” Residents blamed choked drains.
