4.9 magnitude earthquake jolts Afghanistan; no casualties reported

An earthquake of magnitude 4.9 hit Afghanistan on Sunday. The National Center for Seismology said the tremor occurred at 9:36 PM Indian Standard Time at a depth of 147 kilometres. Thankfully, no casualties or damages got reported after the event. The region remains highly active due to its tectonic plate location.
