VisionQuest trailer brings back Paul Bettany as Vision and James Spader as Ultron. The Marvel series streams on JioHotstar from October 14.

Marvel has dropped a fresh trailer for VisionQuest, bringing Paul Bettany back as Vision and James Spader once again into the fold as Ultron. The series is set to stream on JioHotstar in India from October 14 in English, Hindi, Tamil and Telugu.

The new show will also bring to a close the trilogy that began with WandaVision in 2021 and continued with Agatha All Along in 2024. This time, the story shifts its focus firmly to Vision and the questions surrounding his identity, programming and future.

Vision Is Back, But He Is No Longer Safe

The series picks up with Vision after he has been rebooted and escaped from those who wanted to use him as a weapon.

Now in hiding, he is trying to understand what his existence means. Part of that search involves consulting the AI personalities stored within his programming, including F.R.I.D.A.Y., E.D.I.T.H., J.A.R.V.I.S. and Ultron.

That fragile sense of isolation does not last long. A bounty is eventually placed on Vision, forcing him out of hiding and onto the run.

He soon finds himself travelling with Thomas Shepherd, a mysterious young boy who may be connected to him in a far more personal way. The series raises the possibility that Thomas could be Vision’s son reincarnated, adding another mystery to the story.

James Spader Returns As Ultron

One of the biggest talking points around the trailer is James Spader’s return as Ultron.

Vision will not only have to evade those pursuing him but also deal with Ultron’s influence from within his own programming. The conflict places Vision in a position where he must understand his own nature while trying to determine who Thomas really is.

Paul Bettany leads the cast alongside Spader, Ruaridh Mollica, Todd Stashwick, T’Nia Miller, Lauren Morais, Orla Brady, Diane Morgan, Polly Frame, Henry Lewis, Jonathan Sayer, Emily Hampshire and James D’Arcy.
