Nani’s film The Paradise earned Rs 2.80 crore on Gandhi Jayanti, taking its India net collection to Rs 111 crore. The film saw a 15.2 percent drop from Day 8. Nani said, “Out of 33 films I made in my 18 years of career, this is the first time.”

Nani starrer The Paradise continues to impress audience, despite mixed reviews. On Gandhi Jayanti, which marked the long-holiday weekend, the film earned Rs 2.80 crore to its India net collection on Day 9. The Srikanth Odela directorial, which opened to solid numbers, witnessed a 15.2 percent drop from its Day 8 collection of Rs 3.30 crore. According to Sacnilk, the film’s latest earnings have taken its India net total to Rs 111 crore, while the India gross stands at Rs 131.05 crore. The Telugu version remained the primary contributor on Friday, with the Hindi version adding Rs 10 lakh. The film’s worldwide gross has now reached Rs 162 crore.

The Paradise earned Rs 2.80 crore net in India on Friday, October 2, from 1,547 shows. The film recorded 236,450 footfalls, while its overall occupancy stood at 32.8 percent.

The Day 9 collection marked a decline from the previous day, when the Nani-starrer earned Rs 3.30 crore. The 15.2 percent drop has taken its cumulative India net collection to Rs 111 crore. The film had ended its first week with Rs 108.20 crore net.

The Telugu version continued to drive the film’s domestic earnings, contributing Rs 2.70 crore on its second Friday. It recorded 34.1 percent occupancy across 1,377 shows. The Hindi version earned Rs 10 lakh from 170 shows, registering 22.0 percent occupancy.

The Hindi version recorded 26.53 percent overall occupancy. Morning shows registered 7.88 percent, while afternoon shows recorded 32.63 percent. Evening and night shows stood at 14.00 percent and 23.25 percent, respectively.

The latest box-office figures come alongside Nani’s comments about the different response to the film. During an interaction with You We Media, the actor spoke about on the contrasting reactions surrounding the Srikanth Odela directorial.

Nani, who has completed 33 films during his 18-year career, said the response to The Paradise has been unlike anything he had experienced previously. “Out of 33 films I made in my 18 years of career, this is the first time I am experiencing something like this,” said Nani. The film, an action entertainer, also stars Mohan Babu, Raghav Juyal and Sonali Kulkarni.
