In interviews ahead of Sigma’s release, Jason Sanjay spoke openly about the expectations surrounding his directorial debut and the family legacy he carries. Addressing whether audiences would view him as the son of a superstar, the son of a chief minister or as a filmmaker making his first film, Jason said, "I think about it all the time. I can't deny that." He acknowledged that his family background would inevitably remain part of the conversation, with his father’s political career adding another layer to his identity. However, Jason said he wanted his work to speak for itself. "I am doing my own film in my small bubble, making my mark in the industry and delivering my vision," he said.
