The incident took place at the Prime Focus Studios premises, where the much-awaited Nitesh Tiwari directorial is being filmed. Thankfully, no injuries were reported and the fire was brought under control before it could spread further. Ramayana is one of the most anticipated Bollywood projects right now.

Fire Breaks Out On Ramayana Set

A minor fire reportedly started in tents outside the studio premises where Ramayana is being shot. According to FWICE President BN Tiwari, the blaze was contained quickly and did not pose a major threat to the people present at the location. The damage was described as minor, with no injuries reported.

Speaking to India Today, BN Tiwari confirmed that the fire broke out despite producers being advised to take additional safety measures following another recent fire incident at a nearby location. He said the latest incident should serve as a warning for production teams to be more careful about safety arrangements on film sets.

The fire was restricted to the tented area outside the studio and was brought under control before it could spread. Other productions, including Hustle and Pati Patni Panga, are also being shot in the same vicinity. According to reports, the incident did not result in any casualties and work at the location resumed afterwards.

Ramayana Release Date And Cast

The makers of Ramayana have recently stepped up the film's promotional campaign. The first instalment has now been titled Ramayana: Rise of a Legend. A new poster featuring Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Rama and Yash as Ravana was also unveiled along with the release announcement.

Ramayana: Rise of a Legend is scheduled to release worldwide on November 6, 2026. The makers have also planned an immersive theatrical experience, with the film set to be presented in 3D across standard screens, IMAX and other premium large formats.

Directed by Nitesh Tiwari and produced by Namit Malhotra, the film features a massive ensemble cast. Ranbir Kapoor plays Lord Rama, while Sai Pallavi stars as Goddess Sita. Yash will be seen as Ravana, with Sunny Deol portraying Lord Hanuman. Ravie Dubey plays Lakshman, while Arun Govil features as King Dashrath. Rakul Preet Singh is set to play Surpanakha.
