Ramayana Part 1 will release in theatres worldwide on November 5, 2026. Makers said, “Yeh Ram ke Yug ka Aarambh hai.” Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, the film features Ranbir Kapoor and Yash. Fans got excited as advance bookings for this big budget movie will start on October 20, 2026, on Dussehra.
The wait is finally over, as Ramayana makers finally announced the official release date of the Ranbir Kapoor starer on social media. After a lot of speculations, Ramayana Part 1 is officially releasing in theatres worldwide on November 5, 2026. It has to be noted that the film will be available in cinemas in 3D, IMAX and other premium formats across the globe. For the unversed, Ramayana will be released in two parts. The first part is arriving ahead of Diwali 2026. The film is directed by Nitesh Tiwari, who is known for delivering the biggest hit of Indian cinema, Dangal.
Nitesh Tiwari and the makers of Ramayana released a brand new poster of the film, featuring Yash as Ravana, while Ranbir Kapoor, Sai Pallavi and Ravie Dubey in Rama, Sita and Lakshman’s characters, respectively. On the occasion of Navratri, the makers in the caption revealed that producer Namit Malhotra’s Ramayana Part 1 will hit the big screens worldwide across all premium formats on November 5, 2026.
Interestingly, the makers also revealed in the poster that Ramayana will release in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam. The caption read, “On the auspicious occasion of Navratri, we celebrate the beginning of a new era. Yeh Ram ke Yug ka Aarambh hai.”
Ramayana Part 1’s advance bookings will start 16 days before its grand theatrical release. The makers announced that advance bookings will open on October 20, 2026, on the occasion of Dussehra. Ever since the news about Ramayana’s release date and advance bookings came out, cine lovers can’t keep calm to witness the magnum opus on the big screen.
Ramayana is considered as the costliest Indian film in the world. It is reportedly being made on a budget of Rs 4000 crore. The Nitesh Tiwari directed film will also star Sunny Deol, Arun Govil, Lara Dutta, Indira Krishnan, Sheeba Chadha, Rakul Preet Singh, Vivek Oberoi, Adinath Kothare and others in pivotal roles.
Sunny Deol is playing the role of Hanuman, while Arun Govil and Lara Dutta are portraying the iconic characters, King Dashrath and Kaikeyi, respectively. The Ramayana Part 1 trailer was released a few weeks ago on social media. It received a positive response from the masses. The film has music composed by AR Rahman and Hans Zimmer. The buzz around part 1 of Ramayan is very huge; hence, it would be interesting to see how the film performs at the box office.
