Ramayana actor Surabhi Das defended Sai Pallavi’s modern look as Sita amid online criticism. Surabhi said, "You can’t please everybody." She believes the film’s huge scale will overshadow these concerns. Costume designers Rimple and Harpreet Narulah also explained that they used artistic inspiration since no clothes survive from the Treta Yuga.
