HBO's Lanterns on JioHotstar and Apple TV's Ted Lasso Season 4 are both airing their season finales this week. Both series have put fans through the wringer with changes and some unexpected deaths. On October 8, Josh Hartnett, Charlie Heaton, and Mackenzie Davis star in the Netflix thriller Below. Set in Canada, it revolves around a small town terrorised by an unidentified sea creature. Soori's sports drama Mandaadi makes its OTT debut on Netflix on October 9. The Tamil film features the actor as a former sailboat racer, Muthukaali, who returns to Chennai to take on his old rival Saattaappuli (Suhas).

The SonyLIV series looks into the darker side of love, obsession and control with the Girls Will Be Girls actress playing a police officer. Finally, the historical K-drama 100 Days of Deception comes out on Netflix on October 10, 2026. The spy romance takes place during the Japanese colonial period in 1932 Gyeongseong, with a pickpocket going undercover as an interpreter and coming across her match. About the series: Stephen King's debut novel Carrie gets yet another adaptation. This time, it's horror king Mike Flanagan who takes the telekinetic young heroine into a modern setting. Summer H Howell plays the title character, who starts high school after the death of her father. Her religious mother, Margaret (Samantha Sloyan), or school officials can't protect her from the bullying from other female classmates, leading to a viral incident from which there is no return.

About the film: Extraction director Sam Hargreave's new action adventure film is inspired by the iconic Mattel toys. John Cena plays an undercover CIA agent named Sean who returns to his group of friends in his former small town and gets them accidentally involved in a crazed international pursuit to save the world. Jessica Biel, Sam Richardson and Arturo Castro also star in the Hollywood film.

About the film: Ben Affleck stars and directs the new Netflix political thriller, where he plays an Los Angeles mayoral candidate whose son is kidnapped.
