Megastar Chiranjeevi is reportedly set to make his digital debut with a celebrity talk show for Netflix. Sources said the deal is almost finalised, though an official announcement is yet to come. The series may explore his long journey in cinema and personal life, giving viewers a rare, direct look.
Megastar Chiranjeevi is reportedly going to make his much-awaited digital debut with a celebrity talk show for Netflix. Sources in the industry said talks between the actor and the global streaming giant have moved forward, and the deal is said to have been almost finalised, however, an official announcement is yet to come. The proposed multi-episodic series may give viewers a glimpse into Chiranjeevi's long-standing journey in Indian cinema over the decades. The project is also expected to explore parts of his life and career that he has rarely spoken about in public. If it happens, the Netflix partnership will bring the Telugu superstar to a global streaming audience.
According to Gulte, rumours claim that Netflix is developing a talk show based on celebrities with Chiranjeevi at the centre of it. The project is being promoted as a multi-episode podcast-style series where the actor could talk about his personal life, film career and experiences from his long journey in the industry.
Reports further say that Chiranjeevi, who has acted in more than 150 films, was said to have liked the idea of a conversational podcast more than a traditional documentary on his life. That would give him a chance to directly engage with the viewers and discuss topics that have not been in the public eye much.
The series could span multiple chapters of Chiranjeevi's career - from his early days in cinema to becoming one of the biggest stars in Telugu cinema. The actor is expected to talk about his blockbuster films, the challenges in the industry, box-office highs and lows, his relationships with fellow actors, and his entry into politics, reports suggest. Personal stories and experience from his decades-long career are also expected to be part of the conversation.
The project has been described as a major Netflix production in reports, but the platform and the actor have yet to officially announce the show's title, format, budget or debut date. More details are also awaited on the format of the show, number of episodes, release date and guest lineup.
