Amazon Prime Video is bringing back Alliance for a second season, with the reality show set to premiere on January 14, 2027. Hosted by Kunal Kemmu, the competitive captive reality series will once again put contestants through physical and mental challenges while testing their ability to form alliances, navigate shifting loyalties and outsmart their rivals.
The announcement comes with the warning: “System Alert: New alliances loading More drama to make, more alliances to break.” And if Season 1 was anything to go by, viewers can expect the game to revolve as much around strategy and relationships as it does around the challenges.
Kunal Kemmu will reprise his role as the host of Alliance Season 2. In the first season, he brought his distinct humour and personality to the mysterious HQ, guiding viewers through a game controlled by ‘The System’.
Banijay Asia’s Mrinalini Jain said Kemmu’s return was an important part of the new season, adding that he brought a “distinct personality and sense of humour” to the HQ in Season 1. She also teased an even more unpredictable game this time around.
The new season is expected to build on the elements that made the first instalment a talking point among viewers secret missions, mind games, strategic decisions and constantly changing relationships. Prime Video has teased “higher stakes, sharper gameplay, more drama” and an evolved ‘System’ that will test the Allies in new ways. The show's creators have also indicated that Season 2 will challenge contestants not only through its tasks but through the choices they make and the relationships they form.
Meanwhile, Alliance Season 1 concluded with Mini Mathur emerging as the winner of the strategy-based reality show. Hosted by Kunal Kemmu, the finale saw Mini beat fellow finalists Aly Goni and Ruhee Dosani after successfully cracking the final code task. Aly finished as the first runner-up, while Ruhee secured the second runner-up position. Along with the winner’s trophy, Mini took home a cash prize of Rs 50 lakh.
