The Hindi trailer for 418 is out, showing a dark world of horror and mystery. Directed by Kirtan Nadagouda and presented by Prashanth Neel, the film hits screens on October 23. It follows a haunted house mystery involving a sealed room. Chaithra Achar adds an eerie intensity to the chilling story.

Prashanth Neel is venturing into a chilling new territory with 418, an upcoming horror thriller that promises a dark mix of supernatural terror, mystery and mayhem. The Hindi trailer of the film has now been unveiled, offering a disturbing glimpse into the world created by debutant writer-director Kirtan Nadagouda. Backed by Mythri Movie Makers and presented by Neel, 418 is set for a pan-India release on October 23, coinciding with the Dussehra season.

The trailer of the Prashanth Neel film immediately establishes an unsettling atmosphere with a watchman recounting strange incidents surrounding a haunted house. At the centre of the mystery is 18-year-old Vivek, whose experiences blur the line between reality and hallucination. What initially appears to be a psychological thriller gradually takes a far darker turn when the story introduces the mysterious Room No. 418.

The VIMS building, which has remained sealed for 15 years, is reopened despite strong resistance from the locals. Soon, the ominous secrets hidden within its walls begin to surface. The trailer carefully holds back the central mystery before introducing Devika, whose arrival marks a dramatic shift in tone. From this point onwards, the film plunges deeper into supernatural horror, with increasingly disturbing visuals and unsettling incidents taking over the narrative.

Chaithra Achar appears to be one of the film's biggest strengths. Her portrayal of Devika carries an eerie intensity, with her expressions, movements and screen presence adding a genuinely unnerving quality to the trailer. The actress dominates the latter portion of the promo, suggesting that her character could hold the key to the mystery surrounding Room No. 418. Surya Raj, Charan Lakkaraju, Preethi Pagadala and Shashank Patil also feature prominently in the trailer.

Visually, 418 appears to rely heavily on atmosphere rather than conventional horror gimmicks. Cinematographer Dinesh Divakar uses shadowy spaces, claustrophobic frames and carefully placed camera movements to build suspense. Venky GG's background score adds another layer of tension, while production designer Ullas Hydoor's work on the haunted house gives the setting an ominous personality of its own.

The trailer also suggests that Kirtan Nadagouda is aiming for a serious horror experience, keeping comedy and unnecessary commercial detours largely out of the equation. The result is a promo that begins as a mystery surrounding a troubled youngster before steadily transforming into a supernatural nightmare.

Produced by Naveen Yerneni and Yalamanchili Ravi Shankar under Mythri Movie Makers, 418 will release across Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam and Hindi on October 23.
