From a special Navratri kolu featuring more than 230 representations of the superstar to prayers and rangoli displays wishing the film success, Rajinikanth's fans are seeking ways to celebrate the legendary actor. At the Azhagumigu Sri Rajini Temple, a devotee has continued a three-year tradition of showcasing Rajinikanth's iconic characters through a display. Meanwhile, fans in Tiruchirappalli performed special pujas ahead of the much-awaited sequel's release, showing the superstar's craze and popularlity.
Jailer 2: Fans Perform Special Pujas In Tiruchirappalli
Meanwhile, Rajinikanth fans in Tiruchirappalli, Tamil Nadu, organised special prayers for Jailer 2 at Arulmigu Selva Vinayagar Temple in the Srirangam area on October 13. Ahead of the film's release, fans made a rangoli featuring the film's title at the temple entrance, decorated the area with flowers, lit traditional lamps and placed photographs related to the sequel.
Rajinikanth Fans' Association office-bearer Raji said ANI the prayers were held to wish the film success and good health for the actor.
"No matter how many years pass, our leader Rajinikanth continues to remain an unbeatable superstar in the film industry," Raji said, adding that fans had offered prayers for Jailer 2 to achieve grand success. They also prayed for Rajinikanth to enjoy good health and a long, fulfilling life.
230 Rajinikanth-Inspired Navratri Golu, Special Puja Celebrates Superstar's Career
A devoted Rajinikanth fan named Karthik has created a special Navratri kolu at the Azhagumigu Sri Rajini Temple, featuring more than 230 photographs and representations of the actor's iconic characters. The annual display, which Karthik began three years ago, celebrates Rajinikanth's career, from his debut film Apoorva Raagangal to upcoming projects such as Jailer 2 and Dharman.
"For our family, Rajinikanth is our kula deivam (clan deity), and we create these special displays every year as an expression of our deep devotion to him. I have been his fan for nearly 40 to 50 years and have collected photographs from his films since the beginning of his career," he said ANI.
Karthik said that the photographs are cut out, mounted on foam sheets and fabric, and arranged in different styles to make each year's display unique. The temple also conducts regular pujas and distributes prasadam to devotees. Special offerings, including sundal, are prepared on different days, while many devotees visit the temple, to worship Rajinikanth.
