ഇന്ത്യയിലെ ജനങ്ങൾ സ്നേഹമുള്ളവരാണെങ്കിലും രാജ്യത്ത് പഴയതുപോലെയുള്ള സമാധാനം ഇപ്പോൾ അനുഭവപ്പെടുന്നില്ലെന്ന് നടൻ സഞ്ജയ് ദത്ത്. ശേഖർ സുമന്റെ ഷോയിൽ സംസാരിക്കവെയാണ് അദ്ദേഹം ഇക്കാര്യം വ്യക്തമാക്കിയത്. ഇന്ത്യയുടെ പഴയ സമാധാനാന്തരീക്ഷം തിരികെ ലഭിക്കാനായി താൻ ശിവനോട് പ്രാർത്ഥിക്കുന്നുവെന്നും, രാജ്യം കൂടുതൽ സ്നേഹത്തോടെ മുന്നോട്ട് പോകണമെന്നും താരം കൂട്ടിച്ചേർത്തു.
Sanjay Dutt often shuttles between Mumbai and Dubai, where his wife, Maanayata Dutt, and their children, Shahraan and Iqra, live. They’ve been there since 2020, whereas the actor continues to reside in their Mumbai apartment for work. In a rare interview, Dutt spoke about life in India. The actor felt that the country doesn’t feel peaceful enough now. He further praised his fellow countrymen and called Indians ‘large-hearted’ people, but peace can’t be ‘felt’ anymore. He did not delve more into his sentiments and left it at that point.
In the Gandhi Jayanti special episode of Shekhar Suman’s show Shekhar Tonite, Sanjay said, “Yahan ki joh janta hai, voh itni pyaari hai. Ek peace hona chahiye. I can’t feel that peace in our country anymore. We Indians are large-hearted people. We are hospitable. We give so much, and we should be like that always. Main Shivji se vahi prarthana karta hoon ki voh samay de de (People in India are absolutely lovely. There must be peace. I can’t feel that peace in our country anymore. We Indians are large-hearted people. We are hospitable. We give so much, and we should be like that always. I pray to Lord Shiva to bring back those days).”
In one of the segments, Shekhar asked Sanjay to imagine himself as the Prime Minister for five minutes and share a message for the people of India. Slipping into his Munnabhai character, the actor said, “Chalo desh mein kuch to chal rehla hai. Mere pyaare deshwasiyo, aaj apun aapka PM banke khub khush hua. Bole to body mein ajeeb type ka tarang daud re la hai. Bole to itna bada desh hai, itne saare log hain aur ab hum sabki zimmedari apun ke upar (My dear countrymen, today I am very happy to have become your PM. There is a strange kind of energy running through my body. This is such a huge country, there are so many people, and now the responsibility of all of them is on me).”
Sanjay spoke about Shahraan and Iqra moving to Dubai with Maanayata. In a previous 2022 interview, Dutt told Times Of India, “They could have absolutely been here, but I see that they love it there. They like their school and their activities. My wife’s business has settled there. Sending them there wasn’t a planned move. It just happened on its own. Maanayata was doing her own business in Dubai, it clicked and she went, and the kids went with her.”
