Telugu superstar Jr. NTR has come out strongly against an AI-generated clip featuring Janhvi Kapoor from the music video ‘Chuttamalle’ from Devara. The video has been doing rounds on social media and features digitally altered sexually explicit imagery that was not part of the original song.
Taking to X, NTR called the act of making the video “disgusting, sick and shameless”. “In a land that worships women as mothers and goddesses, where ‘Matrudevo Bhava’ is not just a phrase but a part of our culture, some people have fallen so low that they are using AI to disrespect a woman in the most degrading way possible. Using AI to create something this vile is shameful beyond words,” he wrote.
He added that the makers of the video will not be spared. “I will take every possible legal action against those who created it and those who are spreading it. Please do not watch, share or engage with such content. Today it is someone else. Tomorrow, it could be your mother, sister, wife or daughter,” he said.
Concluding his note, the actor urged the government to bring strict regulations against the misuse of AI.
The original song is a romantic number featuring both Janhvi and NTR. It is shot in breathtaking locations by the beaches and forests. Composed by Anirudh Ravichander, the song has lyrics by Ramajogayya Sastry, with vocals by Shilpa Rao.
