Tata Motors flags concerns on CAFE II credit proposal

Tata Motors raised concerns over the government's proposal to allow carmakers to buy cheaper credits from the Bureau of Energy Efficiency. In a letter dated July 14, the company said this move could distort price discovery. They argued, “They would not represent any environmental or fuel efficiency gain,” potentially diluting integrity.
