RBI's concessional swap scheme mobilises $73 bn in less than 11 weeks

The Reserve Bank of India’s special forex swap facility mobilised $73 billion in foreign exchange inflows as of August 21. The scheme started on June 8 to attract foreign capital. FCNR(B) deposits got $65.4 billion, showing strong support from NRIs. The bank said the facility achieved its objective ahead of schedule.
