The Reserve Bank of India promoted Sudhakar Malli as Executive Director, effective October 1, 2026. Malli previously served as Chief General Manager-in-Charge of the Department of Supervision. He is a career central banker with three decades of experience. He will now look after the Department of Supervision, specifically focusing on Supervisory Assessment.
The Reserve Bank of India has elevated Sudhakar Malli as Executive Director (ED) with effect from October 1, 2026.
Prior to his promotion as ED, Malli was serving as Chief General Manager-in-Charge of the Department of Supervision. As ED, he will look after the Department of Supervision (Supervisory Assessment).
Malli is a career central banker with around three decades of experience. He has extensive experience in the supervision of banks, non-banking financial companies and co-operative banks, spanning over two and a half decades, the central bank said in a statement.
The newly appointed ED also has around five years of supervisory experience in overseas jurisdictions. He has also worked in the area of Currency Management.
