Rajasthan to set up 172 units of 1 MW/ 4MWhr BESS

The Rajasthan government plans to set up 172 units of 1 MW/ 4MWhr battery energy storage systems across the state. The electricity regulatory commission approved this pilot project to manage surplus solar energy. These units will operate at various substations to help discoms handle peak load and save on power costs.
