Quarter after quarter, year after year, India is fastest growing economy: FM Sitharaman

Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman said India is the world's fastest-growing major economy. Addressing a BJP event in Bengaluru on Sunday, she noted India's economy expanded 7.7% in fiscal year 2025-26. Growth in the January-March quarter stood at 7.8%, exceeding estimates and matching the previous quarter's pace.
