MediaTek shares jump 10% after Nvidia's largest direct investment outside the US

MediaTek shares jumped 10% in Taipei trading on Tuesday, September 1, after Nvidia invested $3.5 billion. This deal marks Nvidia’s largest direct investment outside the US. Rick Tsai, MediaTek’s chief executive, said the investment strengthened a collaboration spanning cloud AI infrastructure, local AI computing and automotive technology for their customers.
