India receives 32% deficient rains during June 1-15: IMD

India got 32% deficient rains from June 1-15, receiving 42.4 mm against a normal 62.1 mm. Many regions saw less rain, with 65% of India deficient. The IMD said, "conditions are favourable for further advance of southwest monsoon." Mercury may rise in northwest India.
