Apple dethrones Nvidia as most valuable company in the world after more than a year

Apple surpassed Nvidia as the world’s most valuable company on Monday, July 27. Apple shares gained over 1% to reach a $4.95 trillion market cap, while Nvidia shares fell 5%. Investors rewarded Apple for its cautious spending, as the company outperformed Nvidia’s 4% gain with a 24% rise in 2025.
