Aequs signed new long-term supply agreements with Safran on October 12, 2026, to provide critical aerospace components. The company expanded its partnership to six Safran entities, covering parts for Airbus and Boeing programmes. Work will happen at the new Hosur facility as the firm’s aerospace order book crossed $1 billion recently.

Precision manufacturing company Aequs has signed long-term supply agreements with Safran for critical aerospace components, expanding an existing relationship with the French aerospace and defence group to additional business entities.

Aequs, which already works with Safran Landing Systems, has extended its relationship to Safran Aerosystems and Safran Electronics & Defense. It now has relationships with six Safran entities, the company said.

The agreements cover machining of superalloy parts, complex machining, coating and assembly of landing gear components for the Airbus A320, A330 and A350, and Boeing 787 programmes. Work will be undertaken at Aequs' upcoming Aequs Engine Components Ecosystem (AECE) facility in Hosur, Tamil Nadu.

The contracts build on Aequs' position as a supplier to global aerospace manufacturers and Tier-I suppliers, including Airbus, Boeing, Collins Aerospace, Honeywell, GKN Aerospace and Eaton. The company also serves consumer brands such as Hasbro, Mattel, Spin Master and Wonderchef through its consumer manufacturing business.

In the first quarter of FY27, Aequs reported a revenue growth of 55 per cent to ₹395.5 crore, while the company reported a net loss of ₹53.2 crore. Its aerospace order book crossed $1 billion during the quarter.
