The ‘ordinary’ woman accused of assassinating a Russian commander in Crimea
A bomb killed Russian commander Robert Shageev in Sevastopol on 13 August. Police detained 32-year-old Margarita Reutt, who allegedly confessed to the attack for money. A friend said, “Rita believed that the country was going in the wrong direction.” Russia accused her of working for Ukrainian intelligence, but Kyiv stayed silent.
