Syria’s foreign minister says door open for diplomacy with Israel

Syrian Foreign Minister Asaad al-Shaibani said the door for diplomacy with Israel is open. In an interview published on Sunday, he said he expects talks over a security deal to resume soon. However, he noted, “It’s very hard to bet on Israel,” as Damascus currently prioritizes halting all Israeli attacks.
