Iran grants permission for some Iraqi oil tankers to pass through Hormuz

Iran granted permission for some Iraqi oil tankers to pass through the Strait of Hormuz on Saturday. This followed repeated requests from Baghdad during recent diplomatic visits. Iraqi President Nizar Amidi said, “Everyone is keen to prevent Iraq from being dragged into the ongoing war in the region.” Traffic remains low.
