Singtel Joins Queue to India's Satcom Space

Singapore Telecommunications is looking to start satellite communication services in India. The company sought foreign direct investment approval from the Centre to expand its scope. "While STIPL has been operational in India for more than two decades, a fresh FDI nod is needed," said one person familiar with the matter.
