Germany's COBRA drone completes first flight, designed to carry IRIS-T missile

Germany's COBRA unmanned aircraft completed its maiden flight over the Baltic Sea. Developed by POLARIS Raumflugzeuge and Diehl Defence, the 600-kg-plus platform is designed to carry the IRIS-T missile. Diehl said the system is a "cost-effective solution capable of supporting multi-domain operations." More test flights are planned for coming months.
