NASA is about to launch a powerful new eye on the universe

NASA and SpaceX are targeting liftoff for the Roman Space Telescope no earlier than 7:26 a.m. EDT Sunday, Aug. 30. Mission leaders met Friday at Kennedy Space Center and cleared the spacecraft for final preparations. The telescope will ride a SpaceX Falcon Heavy rocket to explore the vast, distant universe.
