India is moving to unlock the commercial deep-sea and high-seas fishing market by issuing digital Letters of Authorisation. The government aims to boost the blue economy, as the sector supports 30 million livelihoods. Officials said, "Responsible utilisation of deep-sea and offshore fisheries can enhance seafood exports and generate employment opportunities."
