US Ends Syria's 47-Year-Old 'State Sponsor Of Terrorism' Designation

The United States on Monday formally rescinded Syria's 47-year-old designation as a State Sponsor of Terrorism. Secretary of State Marco Rubio said he authorized the move after Syria joined the Global Coalition to Defeat ISIS. Rubio said, "These actions represent another historic step by President Trump to give the Syrian people."
