Jadavpur University clash: Inquiry panel chief resigns, varsity to appoint new committee head

Professor Subha Shankar Sarkar resigned as head of the Jadavpur University inquiry panel on August 24, 2026. He said, "I am currently in Delhi, and the inquiry would require regular interactions." The varsity now plans to appoint a new leader to probe the campus clash that occurred on August 20.
