2027 assembly polls: Amid lobbying, it's SP rebels vs BJP loyalists in race for party tickets in Uttar Pradesh

Samajwadi Party rebels and BJP loyalists are lobbying for BJP tickets in seven Uttar Pradesh assembly seats ahead of the 2027 polls. These seats were won by the SP in 2022. A BJP leader said, "The BJP can hardly ignore Tiwari's claim, as doing so could adversely impact Brahmin voters."
