'Footpaths integral to human life': SC seeks response of states, UTs on encroachment-free footpaths

The court asked all states and Union Territories to respond on creating encroachment-free spaces for pedestrians. Judges said, "The first step is proper demarcation of space for pedestrians," to ensure safety for all walkers.
