A powerful cyclone hit Latvia and Lithuania on Saturday, killing two people and leaving hundreds of thousands without power. Andris Viksna said, "This seems to be the most severe storm in Latvia since 2005." Strong winds and heavy rain also disrupted transport services and mobile networks across the Baltic region.
