After years of 'invasive' rats, nature is finally reclaiming Tuvalu as native species return to the islands.

Tuvalu removed invasive rats from six islets to protect native wildlife. Island Conservation confirmed the success of this project across Nukufetau and Funafuti atolls. Project Manager Jesse Friedlander said, "The recovery we've already seen in such a short time is astonishing." Residents now see birds and coconut crabs return home.
