Scientists find a 'smarter' way to clean toxic water: Could this be the breakthrough we need?
Researchers synthesized TiO2/ZnO nanocomposites to remove metronidazole from water, achieving a 94.92% degradation rate. They used machine learning to predict efficiency, finding that support vector regression worked best. The study showed that reaction time and pH levels were the most important factors for cleaning these harmful antibiotics from the environment.
