Archaeologists discovered Spain's oldest known Roman library inside a villa in Córdoba

Archaeologists identified a room within the Roman villa of Fuente Álamo in Córdoba as the oldest known library on the Iberian Peninsula. Researchers from the University of Granada used architectural analysis to show the space was not a shrine. This discovery adds a new chapter to Roman literary culture history.
