Shashi Tharoor questions Govt's delimitation push: 'No established democracy does this'

Congress leader Shashi Tharoor questioned the government's plan to expand the Lok Sabha to 850 seats. In an opinion piece on 30 July, he said, “No established democracy does,” referring to such massive legislatures. The NDA government previously fell short of votes for a similar bill in April this year.
