Pala municipal council in Kerala to elect new chairperson on August 19

The Pala municipal council will elect a new chairperson on August 19. This follows the removal of Diya Binu after a no-confidence motion passed on July 21. Four Congress councillors got expelled for supporting the move. Now, the Opposition bloc expects to gain control and share key posts among themselves.
