Govt defends E20 in Parliament, says it shielded Indians from Rs 125/litre petrol during West Asia war

The Centre defended its ethanol-blending programme in Parliament on Thursday. Minister Suresh Gopi said the policy protected Indians from Rs 125 per litre petrol during the West Asia war. The government also said that E20 fuel does not harm older vehicles, as many tests showed no abnormal wear or engine issues.
