CJP's Saurav Das on criticism for abusive slogans: ‘Pursue defamation proceedings against the individuals’

CJP’s Saurav Das said people should pursue defamation proceedings against individuals who used abusive slogans during protests. He argued that using criminal laws against protesters is wrong and creates a chilling effect on free speech. Das also asked the Delhi government to withdraw FIRs instead of just closing them.
