SC directs Delhi hospitals to suggest mechanism for free emergency treatment to EWS patients

The Supreme Court on Wednesday directed 51 private Delhi hospitals to suggest a mechanism for free emergency treatment to EWS patients. The court said, “A hospital shall not refuse free treatment to an EWS patient except for genuine and tenable reasons.” Hospitals got two weeks to share their final suggestions.
