Monsoon turns Godavari furious: River at high flood level, tributaries roaring

Intense monsoon rainfall across central India has pushed the Godavari river system into a dangerous phase. Near Pathagudem, the Indravati River is carrying 10,12,881 cusecs of floodwater. At the Tupakulagudem-Sammakka Barrage, inflows crossed 12.60 lakh cusecs. Officials said residents in low-lying areas must remain alert as water levels continue to rise.
