Island children brave Godavari waters to attend school

Dozens of children living on Godavari river islands risk their lives daily to attend school in Rajamahendravaram. With island schools shut, students travel in small fishing boats to reach the city. District Educational Officer Vasudeva Rao said, “We are ready to provide seats in hostels to all students,” but parents refused.
