Centre admits NavIC can't provide navigation services, next launch soon

The government told Parliament on Wednesday that India’s NavIC system currently lacks the four satellites needed for standalone navigation services. Union Minister Dr. Jitendra Singh said, "To provide basic positioning service, a minimum of four operational satellites are required." ISRO now plans to launch new satellites to restore full functionality soon.
